Awww our baby lost his first “teefers” … the two middle front teeth are no more. And his new adult teeth were fully in the very next day! It’s so cute because it’s like he has buck teeth right now since all the other teeth are so small.

It’s no wonder that he is being so quiet lately, his mouth is all sore! Also explains him constantly trying to gnaw on blankets and washcloths … they must feel good.

Toby has been going to Puppy Motivation class, which is something like a primer for agility. Basically it’s working on getting him to focus on us, get a better recall, and working him around agility equipment and LOTS of distractions … like other dogs.

We’ve learned a lot about Toby so far, like that he is toy driven as much as he is food driven … which REALLY surprised me! He really enjoys going out to class, and he’s really doing a LOT better than I ever thought he would.

He has even a harder time, as there is a super cute standard poodle puppy whose name ios Toby too! So when they call their dog, Toby looks over, and we are telling him, that’s the other Toby, baby. And bam! He usually refocuses on us when we tell him to.

He REALLY seems to love the class and it’s good for him I think.

FINALLY. At long long last.

It took us over THREE weeks to get fully moved. We ache, we hurt, and it’s hard to adjust. But it’s nice too! We have a HUGE yard, and though it needs work, it’s BIG. Toby and the kitty adjusted pretty well!

We only just last night managed to get our DSL and computers up and running, so we are massively behind lol. Toby’s training also fell by the wayside … so we are picking that up again and next Monday we will be starting his first puppy class, so we are excited about that.

And we entered him into a contest so please give him a vote!

This Monday, Toby got to visit his litter mates at Apryl’s, and wow, did he ever have a shock! He was immediately besieged and though he loved it, you could tell at first he was a tad overwhelmed. He got over that REAL quick though and it was good to see him get taken down and get nipped as he needed some more reinforcement on bite inhibition, and that hard bites will get hard bites back – we noticed a difference right away, and it’s a good difference! :D

Apryl helped us learn how to get him stacked as we were having a hard time getting him to stand still, and I’ve been worried if he’d ever get it – and to my utter delight, he stacked okay a few times! He does need some work and all … but he’s so pretty!

Here’s a few pics we took:
